Things to do in the Columbus area...
 | Road trip! Take a trip to Absarokee. Enjoy the parks, tennis
courts, swimming pool, antique shops and more. Travel on to Fishtail,
Dean and Nye. Hike to Woodbine Falls or Sioux Charlie.
Return on the Stillwater River side. There's blue-ribbon trout fishing
all along the way and over 10 access locations tempting visitors to
stop and wet a line. Drive by the Stillwater Platinum-Palladium Mine
at Nye. There are great places to picnic or eat out along the way. |
 | Itch-Kep-Pe Park - Picnic or camp beside
the Yellowstone River on the Lewis and Clark trail at Itch-Kep-Pe
Park. There's a boat dock available, and best of all, IT'S FREE! |
 | Ranching Activities - Go horseback riding, work on a ranch, tour
working cattle ranches, or join a wagon train! |

 | Music Capital of Montana! The Musicians
Rendezvous,, an annual acoustical event, always begins the Friday preceding
the Second weekend in August. |
 | Adventuresome? Camp at Woodbine and hike to the
falls. Take a trip to Emerald Lake and West Rosebud River,
camping and fishing. Feeling adventurous? Plan an all-day hike to
Mystic Lake. Get back to nature in the deep, pristine woods. |
 | Scenic Route - Travel the back roads on the
Bozeman Trail from Absarokee to Stockade and into Reedpoint, (where
the world-famous sheep drive is held annually on the Sunday before
Labor Day.) |
